My Story

Golf has been the constant in my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I was driven by competition, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. Values that continue to shape the way I coach and mentor players today.

As a junior golfer, I was fortunate to reach the highest levels of success, becoming a 3-time individual high school state champion in the state of Michigan. These early experiences competing under pressure taught me the mental toughness, preparation habits, and resilience that separate good players from great ones.

That foundation led me to earn a Division I scholarship to the University of Tennessee, where I was a 4-year starter. During my collegiate career, I had the opportunity to compete against the best players in the country, including appearances in the NCAA Championships and the U.S. Amateur. Those moments shaped my understanding of elite performance and what it truly takes to compete at the highest levels of the game.

After college, I turned professional and spent 4 years competing in professional golf on various tours including the Korn Ferry Tour, and PGA Tour Canada. Life on the mini-tours sharpened my perspective, not just on how to play the game, but how to manage emotions, expectations, pressure, and seek continuous progress. Professional golf tested me in every way and gave me a deep respect for the process required to improve.

When COVID disrupted professional competition, my path shifted and in hindsight, it was the most important turning point of my career.

I stepped into the role of Interim Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at South Dakota State University, and it was there that I discovered my true passion: coaching and helping players achieve their goals. For 5 years now I have now been helping students unlock their potential, build confidence, and play to the best of their abilities. This has brought a level of fulfillment I had never experienced as a player.

Today, my mission is simple:

To help golfers unlock their potential through elite-level instruction, modern technology, and proven systems that are fit to the individual.

I don’t believe in a cookie cutter approach. I adapt to each student in front of me and listen to their needs and goals. From there together we come up with a plan that best suits them.

Whether you are a beginner, casual golfer, competitive junior, serious amateur, or professional, my purpose is to help you build a game and a mindset that far exceeds the current state of your game.
